Sand Cay, Great Barrier ReefThe Great Barrier Reef is the world's biggest single structure built by living organisms. Constructed by billions of tiny polyps, it covers more than 340,000 square kilometres off the coast of Queensland and you can see it from space. In short, it's awesome. Go there! There are really two ways to see the reef, from underweater and from the air, which gives a sense of its vast scale. This reef is one of more than 2,900 that make up the entire structure and the sand cay, which is underwater at high tide, was a short helicopter flight from Port Douglas. BACK TO SALES PAGE |
